Inspired by Shrewsbury's links to Charles Darwin, this outdoor exhibition opens up the theme of evolution through the eyes of international photographers. The ten week exhibition is the first of its kind for a UK town and will display 40 powerful, historic and contemporary photographs exploring Darwin's legacy in modern society.

The exhibition will feature artwork by best-loved, best-selling and acclaimed illustrators including; Robert Ingpen, Shirley Hughes, Axel Scheffler, Emily Gravett, Mini Grey, Jessica Ahlberg, Polly Dunbar, and many more. The original works will be interpreted for schools and families, with a strong focus on the under 5s and will be an immersive and exciting environment, with plenty of opportunity to play and learn exciting new rhymes. This exhibition is based on two books – the classic Lavender’s Blue and the contemporary Over the Hills and Far Away.

Step back in time and enjoy the first in a series of nostalgic themed music evenings. In March you can join in a Victorian Music Hall night at the Forest Glen Pavilion at Blists Hill. Dine on a two-course meal of Shropshire Fidget Pie (vegetarian option available) followed by Damson Bread & Butter Pudding and then watch and join in the live entertainment. A cash bar is available and period dress is recommended.
