Animal Themed Tile Decorating Workshops

Join a drop-in, animal themed tile decorating workshop and try the tube lining technique to produce a tile featuring your own design and choice of colours, perhaps a ginger cat, spotty dog, elephant or giraffe. Activities vary from day-to-day; tiles cost from £5 each and can be fired and sent home later for a small extra charge to cover postage and packing. It takes up to 1½ hours to decorate a tile so last admission is at 3pm.

Animal Themed drop-in cereamic workshops

Have a go at hands-on animal themed workshops to sculpt your own creature from air-drying clay between 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm (Tues-Thurs only) or paint your own design on to a moneybox or paper plate (daily) and follow a fun trail around the museum. Activities vary from day-to-day and carry an additional charge; museum admission charges apply.

Figure Drawing Workshop with Malcom Hague

This day’s course will be on how to draw the human form. Easels and all drawing materials will be available on the day. Please note the model will be nude.Malcolm Hague is a lecturer at Shrewsbury College of Art and exhibits locally and in Europe. Malcolm has many areas of interest and skill. Malcolm recently ran an introduction to oil painting at the DC which was very popular.

A cookery course that teaches participants how to season with fresh herbs and dried spices in their everyday cooking to create amazing flavoursome dishes.
