Award Winning Bed and Breakfast Food
We take care over breakfast at The Old Rectory B&B. As far as possible we use our own homegrown produce - eggs from the hens and ducks, jams and compotes from the summer fruits - and vegetables from the vegetable garden. We make our own breads (most of the time) and we squeeze our own orange juice!
Everything else is sourced locally. Sausages and home cured bacon from a local farm where they butcher all their own lamb, beef and pork; breads from the artisan bakers in Ludlow and yoghurts from a dairy just over the border in Wales.
We serve a full English breakfast as you would expect, but there's also homemade granola, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice . If you would prefer something lighter why not ring the changes with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs?
We think breakfast should be a leisurely affair and so we normally serve it between 8.30 and 10.00 in the morning. If you would like it earlier – just ask.
We offer a 3 course candlelit dinner and coffee by arrangement at the Old Rectory, at the cost of £35.00 per head. Guests eat together around the elegant, mahogany dining table. We have a small, but select wine cellar with variety of European and New World wines and champagnes to choose from. We also run an honesty bar so even if you've not eaten with us, please do help yourself to a nightcap or whatever takes your fancy whenever you like.
If you don't want a big sit down dinner, we can also offer a supper tray by arrangement at the cost of £10.00 per head, with homemade soup, a sandwich and some fruit. Supper can be taken in your room or in the drawing room.
If you'd prefer to eat out there’s a pub serving traditional pub grub a mile away – great for a stroll in the evening. There are two others within 4 miles and of course Ludlow, famous for its numerous foodie establishments just a 15 minute drive away.
