Food

We take care over breakfast at the Old Rectory. As far as possible we use our own homegrown produce – eggs from the hens and ducks, jams and compotes from the summer fruits - and vegetables from the vegetable garden. We make our own breads and we squeeze our own orange juice!

Everything else is sourced locally. Sausages and home cured bacon from a local farm where they butcher all their own lamb, beef and pork; yoghurts from a dairy just over the border in Wales.
We serve a full English breakfast as you would expect, but there's also homemade granola, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice . If you would prefer something lighter why not ring the changes with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs?
We think breakfast should be a leisurely affair and so we normally serve it between 8.30 and 10.00 in the morning. If you would like it earlier – just ask.

We offer a 3 course candlelit dinner and coffee by arrangement at the Old Rectory, at the cost of £25 per head. Guests eat together around the elegant, mahogany dining table. We don’t have a licence, but bring your own wine and we’ll happily chill it and uncork it for you!
If you'd prefer to eat out there’s a pub serving good food a mile away – great for a stroll in the evening. There are two others within 4 miles and of course Ludlow, famous for its numerous foodie establishments just a 12 minute drive away.
Please note that from 1st March 2012 a 3 course dinner will cost £29.50 per head to include pre dinner canapes and post dinner coffee.
